Okay, who didn't cry when Ash released his Butterfree? In the anime, Caterpie was Ash's first self-caught Pokémon. Caterpie's dream was to become a Butterfree, and over the course of the story, in which Ash evolves it into Safcon and finally into Butterfree and then releases it, it has captured the hearts of fans.

Caterpie is a bug-type Pokémon, which is easy to recognize because, as the name suggests, it looks like... well, a caterpillar. It is not particularly strong, so its body is colored a bright green and covered in distinctive patterns that are meant to deter predators.

The antennae on Caterpie's forehead also serve to scare off enemies. If the red color alone doesn't work, Caterpie can emit a foul smell that causes almost every Pokémon to flee.

Like the round end of its tail, Caterpillar's underside is also yellow. It has four round suction cups that allow it to easily climb trees to look for food or to escape from enemies.

Its striking colors and the patterns that adorn its body make the Caterpillar plush toy one of the prettiest and most colorful Pokémon plush toys. It also looks incredibly cute when you put it on its four suction cups, as in the first picture.
